Sewer Service Hookup

New construction homes will require the drains in the house be connected to the city sewer system. It isn't as easy as just attaching the house to the sewer though. The slope of the drain pipe is crucial. Too little slope and the water won't move and carry solid waste away. Too much slope and the water will run too fast, leaving the solid waste behind. Mies Plumbing can make certain your line is installed perfectly.

Existing homes may need to have the sewer service upgraded or repaired. Old cast iron piping under basement floors build up mineral deposits over time and could require replacement. Many older homes used clay pipe from the house to the street. These can become collapsed or clogged with tree roots. Sometimes a new, smaller diameter PVC pipe can be sleeved inside of the old pipe to restore performance. Other times a trench will have to be dug to replace the pipe.

Whether you have new construction or an older home, Mies Plumbing has the experience working with sewer services to make a flawless connection. Give our professionals a call today.
