Sinks

Sinks used to be considered utilitarian fixtures but now they are used stylish statements in kitchens and bathrooms. Materials can include stainless steel, copper, cast iron enameled, and composite. Single, double, and even triple bowls are available for kitchen applications. The sink can be mounted with a traditional flange above the countertop or an undermount style can be selected for a sleek look and easy cleaning. One of the more popular revivals has been apron sinks where the front is exposed just like in an old farm house.

Bathroom sinks can be anything from a traditional round or oval design to a spectacular vessel style glass bowl perched on the vanity top. For busy families a large vanity with multiple sinks is very handy. Wall hung sinks are good choices for small bathrooms to maximize space. Pedistal style sinks also help make good use of space while giving a classic look.

Don't overlook using a sink elsewhere in your home as well. A sink in a home bar will make preparing drinks and cleaning up a snap. A sink in an island is great for preparing vegetables with multiple cooks in the kitchen. The laundry room is also a good candidate for a sink.

Mies plumbing has the knowledge and experience to install your sink and keep it flowing freely. Give us a call today.
